Update v2.5 is now out, and it brings the variable zoom control for the watch app. In hindsight, this was obviously needed, and not very difficult to do, so I feel bad for not adding it earlier. Digital Crown controls the zoom level gradually, and also tapping on the image cycles between the three different zoom levels.

Another nice new addition is the in-dock preview of the live feed. It will start updating while the app is still in the dock, and smoothly continue when it's fully active.

In this version, I've also made it so that the cameras in the iOS widget are sorted alphabetically by default, which allows the user to have some control over the order of the cameras displayed in the widget. If you name your cameras something like:
"a) Kids Room", "b) Back Door", "c) Front Door"
They will appear in that order in the widget.

Just a heads-up for anyone using the app:
watchOS4.0 (and 4.1 beta) has a pretty bad memory leak that manifests when images are loaded into the image view on the watch. That's obviously the kind of thing this app is doing, and it can get especially bad with the event video clips, that can cause the app to crash once it displays a certain amount of event video clips. If you are experiencing this, for the time being, your best option is to disable the automatic showing of the events in the watch app - you can do this now if you go to your "Watch" app on the phone, and into the Watch Cam settings in the list. Memory leak still exists with just showing the live feed view, but to a much less degree.

I've reported this bug to Apple, and they have already marked it as duplicate, meaning that someone already reported it before me, and they are already working on it. Still, at the time of writing this, the bug persists even in watchOS4.1 beta. I'll update here once they resolve it.

I have now released the Mac version of Watch Cam:

Since Apple doesn't allow shared purchase between the iOS and macOS apps, my plan is to give away the codes for this app to anyone here who already owns Watch Cam for iOS/Watch. Contact me, and I'll send you the download code, for as long as I have them - Apple lets me generate 100 of them, per released version. Also, to start things off, I've put 10 codes that are free for taking in the code giveaway forum:

S4 Watch owners, would you like to beta test the newest version of the app? It has a special complication feature which allows you to see snapshots from the camera of your choice right on the Infograph modular watch face. Snapshots update every few minutes.

It also allows for some Siri control of your Nest cams. Namely, it lets you set the home into Away/Home states (this works from iOS and Apple Watch), and also display the camera feeds or last events by requesting them through Siri (this works only on iOS).

Since I use your app all the time, yes, yes, yes.

Excellent! frjps, I've sent you an invite because I already have you among previous beta testers. teerexx52, I will need your email where I can send you an invited. It will take 10 or so hours for the beta to clear for public testing, because Apple needs to do a brief review of betas as well.

Id absolutely test. Downloaded your therm app for my series 4. Love it. What’s the data pull on this cam watch?

Love this and your Thermo Watch app. Would love to be a beta tester if you are looking for anyone else. I have essentially all the Nest products.

Sounds good - please send me your email via PM. I'm just starting the beta test of next update for Thermo Watch which has Siri support for Heat/Cool mode.

Is there someone here from UK or any European country who would want to beta test the new version of the app? I'm trying to see if there is a problem with the app running in the European region.

OK, the problem has been identified, and it is fixed in the 7.6 update which is out now.
