Is this normal? I was hoping I'd be able to stream music from my watch just like I do from my phone, but I've tried three times now and the car recognized the watch, pulls up a passcode, I confirm it and then it just shuts down the pairing. (It's a 2017 Nissan Maxima if that's important. No CarPlay, just standard bluetooth with Siri compatibility).

It will not connect to your vehicle unless you are one of the luck few. If you will look at "similar threads" below you will see some have been able to get the watch connected but most of the times not.

I’ve been able to connect the watch to both of my vehicles. A BMW 3 series and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have a friend with a 2017 Maxima, I will try it out. I am on the current 4.3 beta. His system is CarPlay though.

Are you able to stream music and make/receive calls directly from the watch? Reading through Apple's official responses it does seem like the watch is not intended to connect to a car, but I dont see a reason why it wouldn't if it has LTE and the full capabilities to use Apple Music and serve as a phone.

i use the phone, Siri for texting. I do not have Apple Music, but stream playlists downloaded to my watch. I do have iTunes Match. I can also stream from that over LTE. For me at least works just like my iPhone.
