It was still on as when I held buttons it vibrated or made a ring.

Reset it with both button white apple came up and went dark again

What's going on

Won't turn on period now, now way this thing is broken after being opened and not even messed with for about 40 minutes total

Also, try holding the Digital Crown and the Power Button at the same time until an Apple logo comes up

Haha

So it's fair for me to take a brand new item and get a refurb? Sweet

If you're within the return period, return it and buy a new one. Otherwise, the terms and conditions of the warranty state that Apple may provide refurbished units as replacements. If you don't agree with this, you shouldn't be buying the product.

If during the Warranty Period you submit a valid claim to Apple or an AASP, Apple will, at its option, (i) repair the Apple Product using new or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, (ii) replace the Apple Product with a device that is at least functionally equivalent to the Apple Product and is formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or (iii) exchange the Apple Product for a refund of your purchase price.

Listen, all my products are apple. You guys defend it like I'm bashing it like I'm an android fan or something

It's just ridiculous for an item to die after opening it

Still hasn't turned on since last night

I'm not "defending" anything. I don't care that you own all Apple products. I'm telling you that products(from any manufacturer) don't work coming out of the box sometimes. It's not very common. It's unfortunate. But it happens. This is why manufacturers provide warranties and retailers have return periods.

Quit complaining about it on here, nobody can help you fix it. In fact, it's brand new, you shouldn't have to fix anything. Just take it in to Apple and they will be more than happy to help you.

t's a mass produced item, it is checked, but errors happen.

go to the genius bar, be nice, they're there to help you. go in with a genuine problem (which you have) be civil about it, and you'll probably walk away happy.
if they do try to give you a refub, just politely explain, that it was a manufacturing error and came out of the box that way, and you would like a new one as opposed to a refurb.

and if i haven't said it enough, be nice, be nice, be nice. You don't want to piss off the one person that can really help you.
sorry to hammer the point, but most people who have had problems with the genius bar (or customer service in general) go in expecting to fight for something and that starts the whole thing off on the wrong foot.

i've had nothing but great experiences at the genius bar, i was having a graphics issue on my laptop, and it was nearing the end of warranty, not only did they replace the graphics, but the battery was below spec, so got a brand new battery, which i didn't know about till i picked it up. not bad for a 3 year old laptop.

Yea, literally impossible to
Make same day appointments at my store which so very annoy and especially weekends are the worst

Already did, sending me a box to repair it. They said it's not normal at all for what happened. What sucks is they both said I deserve a brand new one but they couldn't promise I would get one

They did offer me free products
