There's always the possibility that Apple releases some new watch faces within a 2.x update.
As the others above have stated, there's only 2 new ones (or 3, if you count Photo Album different than Photo)
I'm really hoping that they add more with 2.x releases. I don't want to wait 6 months for every 2 new faces. Also, I'm really hoping for a weather-centric one, that displays the weather conditions much like the iPhone's stock weather app.

I hope they pull a Pebble and release the watch faces to the developers. Then you'll see some real interesting watch faces. This is what Pebble did. The watch came with about 8 watch faces, but when they released the ability to create watch faces to the developers then they jumped quickly to the hundreds and now I believe to the thousands. Some of course are NSFW, some are really fun, and a lot of them celebrate sports teams, movies etc.

Seems like an easy thing to do and a good money generator. Would also think developers are wanting to make watch faces.

This is exactly right... I know there were already some preemptive blocks put in place by classic watchmakers, such as Rolex, Movado (although the Simple face can be set up pretty close), and others. We'll see what they have in store later. The Jailbreak community will probably try something.
I really want the complications as well. Fantastical and 2do would be nice. More control over colors. Utility on beta 5 has a couple and multi color modular might be too much for some - including me. Would like color choices for others.
Photos, time lapse, motion, astronomy and solar should have the option of complications in my opinion. I would love my own pictures or specific pictures for the watch but I want some complications or they aren't worth it to me.
Naive apps and a better fitness app whether from Apple it developers.
Couldn't care less for nightstand mode as I wear my watch as my silent alarm and heart rate / sleep tracker.
Would like a way to use the side buttons more like the iPhone. Maybe three clicks turns off wrist raise or enters DND. Maybe program a sleep mode that enters DND, turns off wrist raise and activated alarm. Just ideas.
I too am hoping for third party support for watch faces soon, would be fantastic to see what developers can do with the colour screen.
I'm using os2 beta 5 and only modular has an all color screen. It's nice but too much to me. Utility has a few complications with colors but some are only orange. My guess is there will be a lot more choices with colors and such when this is released in late September or whenever it officially comes out.
