My 42mm apple watch has behaved impeccably since I got it July last year. Then two days ago in the evening the screen was black and it would not respond to movement or buttons.

I thought it might be flat battery (although it shouldn't have been as it is never normally less than 60% at bedtime).

I put on the charger for the night, but in the morning there was no change.

So I did a hard reset by pushing the crown wheel and power button together and the watch started up, apparently normally, but when I went to the app screen it froze completely.

I did another hard reset and it has been fine ever since.

I noticed that after the above the charge was only 46% so it had not been charging in the night, and it cannot have shut down due flat battery.

Note...I was expecting to have to set it up from scratch after a hard reset, but all my data and settings were in tact.

I assume the only further thing I could do if it happens again is to unpair it and either reset it up as a new phone or restore from back up. After that I guess it is a trip to Apple.

Any thoughts? Can I see logs anywhere on the phone?
