Those numbers are a distinct infinitesimaly small numer, relative to those that respect, admire and were loyal to his vision.
Same but different.
Most folks respected Steve, admired him, and were fiercely loyal. However, few of those folks got along with him. Watch these interviews or read these articles. They all admired him, but few cared for him on a personal level. Even Woz says he was a bully and that he couldn't work with him and that they were not friends. Woz had an office clear on the other side of Apples HQ when he was still with the company.
A few folks, like Ive, got a long with him. But, by some of the same people who talked about how much they admired and respected them, talked about how unpersonable, all-business, or downright awful he was to work with.
I've got a lot of respect for him too, he directly contributed to massive changes that affect most of us every single day in some way or another, countless industries were revolutionized or in some way changed by his ideas. BUT, he got there by demanding, pushing, forcing, and clawing his way there, no matter who might get in his way.
