Updated watch and phone yesterday evening. Ever since, phone calls only ring on my phone but not the watch. I can call out on the watch, just not receiving. Tonight, I unpaired then repaired and setup the watch as new, still won’t ring. Anyone else?

Same here! Very frustrating cause I am doubting the reliability when I have my phone in a jacket or elsewhere, missing calls. Help!

Fixed it this morning.......I shut the phone off followed by the watch, turned the phone on first then the watch and it works fine again. I googled it and found someone else had to do it a few years ago.

I had a missed call yesterday when using my AirPods Pro and it should have gone to my watch but didn't. So i tested it this morning and the call went straight to my phone. I tried Guinness's fix and re-tested and it worked. The call went to my watch first. Thanks for the useful tip.

Anyone here using CarPlay? Im having the same issue, unpaired etc no joy. However if turn both the phone off and the watch and restart, it will start to ring again. Problem is.....when I get in my car and connect to airplay the issue comes back!!!

Same, watch never rings anymore when the phone does. But, the watch will give me a missed call notification.

I have had the same problem that started on a 4 series and I thought when I got my 6 series it would fix it. The problem began once I upgraded to iOS 14 and watch so 7. I have done all of the tricks of turning both off, resetting them both and I have wiped them both and started over. Each thing has fixed it for a short time but it then goes back to not ringing. I can get it to work every time if I turn off Bluetooth and let calls come in through either late or wifi. When I turn Bluetooth back on, no more ringing on watch. I spent an hour and a half on the phone with apple support and went up several levels to no avail. Apple seems to know nothing about this problem. I have wondered if it had something to do with CarPlay. Has been very frustrating since I count on my watch alerting me to calls when I’m at work. I have missed many over the past few weeks.

Next time, just restart both the watch and the phone....at the same time. It should start working again. Then go to your car and connect car play. Then when you get out of the car check again and see if it stopped working again. Thats what mine is doing. Yep very frustrating.

Sorry but this solution doesn’t work, it doesn’t matter how many times people repeat it in these forums.

Thanks for the reply. I am able to get calls to come through on my watch after a restart of both but it does quit working. I’m trying to test it more before and after being connected to my car. I just hope apple will soon recognize this as a problem, I don’t want to have to restart my devices multiple times a day to get them to work the way they should.

Can now confirm my issues occur only after connecting to wireless CarPlay. If I disable wireless CarPlay, restore the watch, the issue doesn’t occur. As soon as I connect to wireless CarPlay, straight after the issue occurs.

I also don't get calls to my LTE watch when bluetooth is on. Works fine if I turn it off, but will bluetooth off I can't use some features of the watch such as changing watch faces or opening the computer with the watch.

l have wireless CarPlay and it works intermittently, like yesterday it worked, today it didn’t. So maybe it interferes but I wouldn’t say this is the only reason it’s happening.

I received the new iPhone 12 pro on friday. As a test, I set up my new phone "as a new phone" meaning I did not restore from backup, also did the same with the watch. Issue continues.

I have changed over to both a new Apple Watch 6 and iPhone 12 since the problem started and neither upgrade fixed the issue. For me, it does appear to be directly related to plugging into CarPlay. It works great after a reset until I get in my car.
