Dear Apple

You suck

Since the OS 3.2 update last week, my watch no longer shows average pace / 100m while swimming in open water.

This makes it USELESS for monitoring your speed at markers during open water swimming.

Overall average Pace still, however, shows correctly per 100m when you check your iPhone activity after saving the swim workout, including all 100m splits, and the GPS route still displays. Watch pace remains stuck on 1s the whole swim.

FIX THIS.

I have:
- restarted my watch: no change
- unpaired and repaired, plus set up as new. What a mission.

Reported to Apple. Knowing them Watch Series 3 will be out before they fix this.

If anyone else is able to test this, I would be most grateful.

Bump: any open water swimmers, please give this a try. Even a 20m dash in an open pool (choose open water swim) should help confirm.

Thanks me too. I'm certainly glad to not be you and the few other unhappy people on here.

I am glad I am not disturbed by someone making a negative comment about their Apple.

As far as unhappy, not me. I got it made and have a great job, great business and it is getting better and better because of our new President!

Oh I'm not disturbed by it. But it's seems you are unhappy seeing most of your comments are rude. Anyway this is not what the topic is about. I'm done and won't be seeing your comments anymore.

WatchOS 3.2.2 didn't fix this.

Going to Apple store tomorrow to get some answers up the line.

Wow! I thought this was fixed. I'm gonna go swimming tomorrow, might check it for you. (Pool swim though)

Sadly pool laps are/seem fine :(

Open water is the one they've borked.

Apple you're killing me here.

Once synced to phone all the split and pace data is there so there is no reason t shouldn't work on watch ...

Public Service Announcement:

I can confirm this is now fixed in watchOS4 Beta 5.

Hallelujah.
