Watch OS 5 on series 2

When I had my Series 1 before trading it in, WatchOS 5 felt as smooth if not smoother that WatchOS 4. I did unpair my watch and set it up as new after installing WatchOS 4, so that might have had something to do with it.

Was using OS 5 before I sold mine. I have to agree that it’s the same, if not better than OS 4. Battery life was around the same, too.

I also agree, OS 5 works just fine on Series 2. Battery life seems to be very similar after the update and after I turned off Walkie Talkie. Workout is slower to load but it was slow to load towards the later versions of OS 4 also. I don't recall it being as quite as slow to load on 3. I'm suspecting this is where the hardware is starting to show it's age but it's not unusable by any means.
Have you tried the timer app and how often do you use it? The timer app definitely is slower to launch a timer at times than watch OS 4.

Did this happen to you on OS 4? Workout app on the last versions of OS 4 was slow for me to open and continues with 5. Very similar behavior of the Timer app.
