Updates my watch this evening and having battery issues.

I’ve tweeted this to Apple support

@Applesupport I updated the software on my watch tonight to 7.6. Battery went from 100% to 95% battery and now won’t charge any further. Tried a reboot. It charged to 96%. Then went back to 95%. #AppleWatchSeries6 #AppleWatch

For me it's "unlock with iPhone" that's broken since the update:

Just updated my S6 to 7.6 and "Unlock with iPhone" doesn't work anymore (iPhone 8, 14.7, 5-digit passcode). Tried rebooting and switching the feature off/on again several times, no change. Always worked before the update, now I have to manually unlock on the watch.

Edit: Tried both switching to "simple passcode" and turning passcode off completely and setting it up again. Still doesn't work via "unlock with iPhone".

Read on Macrumors that there is a bug in iOS 14.7 with TouchId iPhones not being able to unlock Apple Watches.

Did you try a hard reset?

My Apple Watch Series 6 has Watch OS 7.6 (18U63), but on my Apple ID the Apple Watch still stands with Watch 7.5.

I am unable to update my Series 3 to 7.6, I get the feeling Apple have removed the update as it keeps saying it’s unable to verify it.

After downloading the update I keep getting this:

It amazes me how Apple can completely mess up some if these things, LOL, incredibly strange, but I guess a WatchOS 7.6.1 is on the way?

I updated my series 3 directly through the watch this time, totally bypassing the phone. Went perfectly, no setting up as new, deleting apps, running out of space etc etc. So my suggestion to you is try the same. On the watch go to settings>general>software update.

After update the battery drain faster than usual (S6)! Again stupid update from Apple

Cool, will give this a go, thanks a lot!

Not just TouchID. I stupidly thought it was safe to update since I don't have TouchID, but even with FaceID, it hardly ever works now. Sometimes I can get it to unlock, but more often than not, it just doesn't do anything.

Strange. I have no issue with my iPhone XS and FaceId.

It is.
And as I write this: iOS 14.7.1 is released that should fix the bug.
Still the same for me. It's very finicky now. It used to work perfectly every time. Now I have to swipe up a bunch of times to get it to recognize my watch is locked. Ugh. I'm just gonna disable the feature and type the passcode in. Much easier than this crap.

My first run with my AW4 Nike running iOS7.6 was a wash, it called out interval times as usual but as I finished and went to end the run it was nowhere to be found. I'll see if it was just an anomaly or real issue with NRC app later today.

Has anyone else noticed a difference in the blood oxygen readings from their 6? I'm getting higher readings since the update, too soon to tell if it's the update but I'm doing nothing differently.

There was just an article here on MacRumors today that could explain unexpected changes like this. It seems Apple sometimes changes their algorithm for collecting certain health data without announcing the change.
