After experiencing severe battery drain on my watch 4 with OS 7 i decided to unpair and re pair.

For some unknown reason the ECG app un installed. My watch is in a ECG supported region.

According to Apple support , the ECG app can be re downloaded via the App Store on the watch

However , the ECG app is no where to be found on the Watch App Store

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm surprised nobody responded yet. YES it is a known issue; per a 'genius' at Apple Austin; where they have 'health' specialists. In Series 5 it was an App; in Watch Series 6 it is NOT an App but shipping with the Phone. And it will take another week or so for 'engineering' to figure out the problem. Instead of uploading logs and so on; I returned my Series 6 and will use my Series 5, in which OS 7 works just fine as does the ECG app. They have had a number of Series 6 buyers report this issue; but apparently noone here is aware of it but you and me🙂. Normally I would give the Series 5 down the family food chain; but in this case I will keep it; perfectly fine. I may get a Series 6 later on; but not essential as I also have a pulse-oximeter for that purpose.

A unpair of the Watch together with a Settings Reset on the phone fixed the problem

I was prompted to Install the ECG app after the Re-pair of the Watch.
