Being a late comer to the watch, I only used WOS2.x for about a day before I jumped to WatchOS3. I'm digging it so far. Kind of an advantage really...I don't know a lot of what is actually an OS3 bug and what the watch couldn't do before! ;)

Need to do some more digging around and find out what I'm missing on this thing!

After a while I couldn't resist and installed WatchOS 3 on mine yesterday. It's absolutely great. I love how the Dock now makes so many applications feel lighter and faster, which is incredibly useful. I LOVE Scribble. It's been an absolute godsend and will make texting so much easier from the Watch when I can't just talk to my device over and over again. I can't wait for everyone else to get in on this so we can start competing with fitness!

Anyone in Ottawa, Ontario area, willing to upgrade my AW to WatchOS 3 for a fee? :D

I'm serious! :)

One downside that I've noticed is that the battery life is not as good as before after working out.

These reports on Watch OS 3 are SUPER encouraging to hear.

I long suspected (hoped) that there was room for software optimization in the current-generation watch. I had hoped it was significant. But what I'm seeing/hearing is beyond my highest hopes. Apple really has figured out how to make a 1 year old smartwatch feel like new, and blow away the competition. That's just terrific. And we will all get this for the low low price of ON THE HOUSE in a couple months. Who else does that for their customers? Certainly not Samsung - they are too busy throwing new form factors out there to see what sticks.

Gen 1 of the Apple Watch may have been controversial, but in true form Apple is sticking behind it 100% until it's perfect.

Hope it is not a fluke, but the heart rate measuring during a workout was perfect for me while golfing in the heat and humidity. So many people have complained about the watch not working for measuring your heart rate when I was having success. However, I have never golfed in the heat and humidity and had a perfect two hours of heart rate. I checked over and over again and the heart rate was measuring correctly, when before, it would say 54 or "measuring". I must say, I am very encouraged with beta 1 of OS3.
