Watch OS9.3 update killed display?

Just got my watch updated yesterday, and just put it on the charger today. Picked it up and the screen won't turn on at all. Total black out.

• I can still see it connected to my phone through my widget, and I am sure its not out of juice given its at 77%
• when I try to tap on the screen, I can hear the lock screen num lock presses.

Anyone experiencing this?

Have you tried force restart?
Press Digital Crown + Side button for 5-10 seconds, then turn on the watch again

Update - I did try force restart, not sure if it really restarted since the screen was just blank the entire time. It miraculously "self-regenerated" on its own when I was about to get on the phone with apple support.

Tough luck for me, seems like the problem returned, and it seems to have returned at about the same time this happened yesterday morning.

Damn, contact Apple and tell in details what happened. I hope they will find something in logs.

[Update] Called it in with Apple, and they've mentioned not really seen any logs of this happening to others, and couldn't really offer any solutions over the phone. Did the reset - didn't work. Screen continued to stay blank throughout the restart. Did the unpairing, and that was the end of it since the screen stayed blank.

So they've triggered the replacement process. They shipped me a replacement watch within a day, just got it this morning, and I'll be returning the "bricked" one.
