It copies that file over to its phone app storage (BTW if it comes from Pocket Casts its name will likely be not very human-friendly), then you hit transfer to watch, and after an indeterminate amount of time, this happens (a few minutes usually for 10-20Mb files, maybe 10+ mins for bigger ones?). It really, really needs a progress bar or something here as you have no idea how long it will take.

In addition to a progress bar it needs a way to edit the files.. when I download podcast from the Pocket Casts I'll need to import them over to Good Reader app or some app that has the ability to edit the name.

The dev is on to something... just need to do more with it.

Hey guys - I've built a new app that lets you download and play, all directly on your Apple Watch:

This looks promising! Unfortunately, I've been burned by so many other apps that promise to do the same thing, that I'm reluctant to try another sight-unseen. Do you happen to have a Youtube video that shows your app in action? Also, do the podcasts continue to play while using Apple's workout app?

Unfortunately, I can't get the Outcast app to work. On my Series 2 watch running Watch OS 4, it starts to play a podcast, then freezes up. When I quit the app and try again, I get the same results.

I can't even get it to play the pre-loaded "Welcome" recording.

I was able to load a podcast. But it took about an hour (even with Bluetooth turned off, as recommended), and the download timed out at least a dozen times before I finally got it to complete. Which was a waste of time anyway, since I can't play it.

Outcast works great for me as long as I put my phone in airplane mode while outcast is downloading the podcasts.

Why does outcast keep pausing when trying to download?
[doublepost=1521370791][/doublepost]Also with the watch disconnected from phone it doesn’t download over Wi-fi no idea why? But just hangs
[doublepost=1521371921][/doublepost]Update - removed/ forgot the Wi-fi settings on iphone and connected again. Now watch is downloading direct from Wi-fi and much faster with no pause issues. Podcasts work well - so far apart from few teething problems app is great!
