The wife and I loved this show! Looking forward to this season. Great news that it’s already renewed for a third season too!

Meh....I received a one year free subscription to Apple TV+ last year when I purchased an iPad mini 5. They recently extended the free subscription until July 2021, probably because I bought an iPad Air 2020. But to be honest, now over a year in with the free Apple TV+ I have yet to see enough watchable shows to justify paying for the subscriptions. I'll allow it to expire when the free portion expires. And just like Amazon Prime Video, you still have to buy/rent most of the stuff worth watching even with a paid subscription. I'll stick with Netflix, Hulu, and other services that have better offerings without EXTRA charges!

Everyone got their free trial, even paying subscribers ended up getting it free as Apple grows their library. I think your confusing Apple TV+ with the general Apple TV app. Apple TV+ is all included in your subscription (its all of the stuff under the Apple TV+ channel on the Apple TV app.
Apple TV app includes every single streaming service and the iTunes Store which is why you may see a paywall of some programming.

Have you tried For All Mankind? I’d subscribe for that alone.

This is mostly correct - everything in Apple TV+ is available for no extra charge but the app does show stuff from other sources. It’s not every streaming service though - Netflix, annoyingly, isn’t in there. That’s why I won’t be subscribing to Netflix when they finally stop me using Jeff’s account.

Netflix is also starting to annoy me with the quality of their programming. It feels like ATV+ and Netflix put out the same amount of good quality content, with most of the stuff on Netflix simply bad quality. I also find myself watching new types of shows like I would never have seen long way up or tiny world, but they both turned out to be very good shows.
Season 2 FAM was amazing as well!

Really looking forward to this, loved the first season!
Apple really did pick winners with British comedies of both Trying & Ted Lasso. :)

Hah, just saw the release date. I'm getting married on 21st, so first thing to watch with the Mrs. lol

I would argue most people not watching haven't given a single show a chance. They have some of the best quality shows out there.
Or those people just hate children (hi!), even when they show up in the background, let alone when it’s the core premise of the show. I liked Catastrophe (in contrast) because, even though they showed the couple as having children, there were many episodes that didn’t feature them at all, and we barely knew their names. As it should be!

Like a lot of Brits I gave up on BBC ‘comedy sitcoms’ a long time ago. They all tend to be much of a muchness, cantered on a middle-class couple living in London. Sadly the days of groundbreaking edgy humour like Monty Python, The Goodies, Not the Nine O’Clock News, The Young Ones are long gone. Too many people would be offended by such shows and the thing the BBC hates most is to offend anyone, unless it’s the working class or those who live outside London.

My statement was more of a blanket statement to Apple+ as a whole and not this particular show. I won't lie, the subject matter does not appeal to me, but I still might give this show a shot.
