CarPlay Watch TV on Apple CarPlay

Hi all. Newbie Mike246 in London, England here.

A challenge. I can bring live TV up on my iPhone XR using a variety of players but would like to make it available on my (Lexus ES) navigation screen. Naturally for use when stationary - not while driving.

As we all know, CarPlay turns nanny and prevents this outrageous act. Can any of you guys suggest a workaround?

It's utterly illegal in the US. So not Apple, but Washington.

Love your take on preventative safety... It's illegal (at least in the US, and rightly so), and incredibly irresponsible... and it creates a slippery slope... "when stationary" today, "background noise" next, and full-blown distracted driving always.
