My Watch Ultra scratches easily but I still love it. I forgot how easy it is to scratch a titanium watch. My first titanium watch was a Tissot from over 10 years ago. It has scratches all over it. But the sapphire crystal is pristine.

My SS Seamaster didn’t scratch as easily as my series 1 SS Apple Watch. Brushed vs polished.

My Apple Watch Series 4 SB SS had some scratches after a few years of wearing it daily. My Series 6 SB Ti has no scratches after wearing it daily for a couple of years.

All these watches have sapphire and has no scratches on it.

Hopefully Apple comes out with a SB Ti Watch Ultra. That DLC coating really resists scratches.

It does, but then if you do get a scratch it REALLY shows! There is another thread where someone polished their Ultra to a brushed finish and took off the orange. It looks really really good. I like the raw titanium look that you can maintain with a nice patina!

The nice thing about Titanium is you can refinish it fairly easily. Plenty of tutorials online.

My natural Ti hasn't had any problems with scratches or scuffs since I polished it in July. Just saying. 😅

Would you mind posting some photos? I'm considering an Ultra but don't like the sound of "scratches easily." Seems strange that something meant for outdoor activity isn't very durable.

Scratches are cosmetic, not an indicator of durability. The sapphire display is much more scratch resistant than the Ion-X glass apple is using on the aluminum models and the Ti bezel will protect the display more than the rounded edges on the SS models.

At the end of the day, it’s a gadget. It will lose value over time.

Tiles in the bathroom... i tried to catch the door frame and failed 😅
As long s the screen is scratch free, i don't really care.

I hit mine on table edges and doors few times within a couple of weeks. Didn't get any scratch on it. But I bought a Spiegen case and screen protector. At my work I use it with the case. And when I am out for other things, I take it away. I am sure that one day when I am wearing it without a case, I may bump into something smooth but it gonna make a nasty scratch on it. 😁

Yep… bathroom floor tiles did a number on my S7 SBSS Hermes casing while I was applying caulk. It def hurt a bit at first but I got over it fast. It’s a watch. It is what it is. Got an Ultra now.

I have this and love it. Great protection and looks cool too.
Just received mine today but I see the interior a bit coarse, and edges. Im worried it can do more damage than protection 😀
You that are using it, can you please share your experience? Any abrasions, scratches or nicks of putting it on and off and or debris getting trapped?
Many thanks

Got mine on release day, I’m not super careful with it. I just live and do what I need. I don’t have an office job and worked on my son’s car while wearing it. I’m slightly precautious when I take off the Alpine Loop since some owners have noticed the G-hook micro scratching the case, and so far so good, I’ve bumped it a few times but no visible damage (and for the record I’m a nit picker ;-}.

Main thing to do; enjoy it.
