Why, maybe they need one and the difference between the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6s is so minor that its not a huge deal.I was at an Apple Store yesterday and watched someone buy an unlocked iPhone 6 to replace their iPhone 5. I feel bad
I was at an Apple Store yesterday and watched someone buy an unlocked iPhone 6 to replace their iPhone 5. I feel bad because I'm sure he'll be quite upset after next week's announcement, but I figure news of a new iPhone in September is basically mainstream knowledge by now. It didn't seem like his iPhone 5 was lost or broken (maybe it was). Would you have interrupted the sale to tell them about the upcoming iPhone event?
most don't even knowDo Apple employees ever tell people that stuff is coming out soon?
Is that when I can get a new one? Will AT&T have them in stock? I need a new phone as soon as possible. Why on earth would you not have waited until sept 18th at this point?
I know people that sell their current iPhones, buy a new one and return it and get the 6s.
Oh the unethical things people will do so that they have a shiny new iPhone before anyone else.
There are thousands of iPhone still sold daily. Hate to say it but it is US, in these forums, that is not normal as most of the general phone buying public has no idea that Apple is getting ready to deliver another phone.
Is returning something unethical?
I deal with these kind of customers every day single day lol. Not everybody cares about having the latest greatest device. It's not just iPhone users, but also Samsung users. Sometimes they want free phones or they just don't care, I remember when the Note 5 came out, we were taking pre-orders and I kept telling customers they could pre-order the new one instead, but they would be like nah I'll stick with the Note 4! I'm like SERIOUSLY? lol same with iPhones.

You are fond of those people while many of us see it as typical ignorance. There are way too many people who are carefree when wasting their money and that is a detriment to society, not something to be fond of.There are actually people that don't care; they don't care about the latest and greatest even if it were priced the same. I actually am fond of people like that because they're a little more care free about matters like this. Let the guy enjoy his new iPhone.
I'm fond of his care-free attitude. It's not my place to judge his ignorance. I, of course, would wait for the latest, even if it meant waiting a few weeks or a month or two without a phone. Some people really don't care, because there really is far more important matters than the latest iPhone. It's about being content. You are fond of those people while many of us see it as typical ignorance. I'm glad that the guy is enjoying his new iPhone, but you would think someone would put a little bit of thought into a $600 investment. He certainly doesn't need a pat on the back for doing it.

She was smart!Oh, I don't know. I tried to talk my sister out of buying an iPhone 6 (like me she had the 5s) but she went ahead and bought it anyway. She didn't listen to me at all about the newer models coming out.
I was at Costco this week and moronic sales clown tells middle-aged couple he didn't know when the + would be released. I said there will be an announcement on the 9th.Up to you. They walked away from sales clown. They had no idea regarding + announcement and they had 2 5Ss.I would of "cough cough 6s is releasing this month cough "

Like I said, far too many people have that care-free attitude when spending huge amounts of money and that is why so many people live paycheck to paycheck and are in tens of thousands of dollars in credit card debt.I'm fond of his care-free attitude. We need to stop the care-free spending and get people to put some real thought into their purchases.
Yes, she was smart by making a uninformed and impulsive decision to make a poor investment. Smart...She was smart!

So now making care-free decisions is "smart".
I bet when you go buy a car you will offer to pay the same thing for the 2014 leftover as you would pay for the 2015, because being care-free is smart?
I don't actually understand your above post, but it seems like you put real thought into it and found out that upgrading now was a smart decision, not just an impulsive and ill-informed one. That makes sense and IMO you did the right thing.Like I did with my upgrade![]()
I am not taking anything personally. I am simply giving an opposing point of view to someone who says that it's "smart" to be care-free when making major purchases. At the end of the day, what people spend their money on or how they live their loved has absolutely nothing to do with you. You're beginning to take what people do with their money worryingly personally
