WatchESPN app and blacked out game question

If I am using the login info from a friend in another state, will I be able to watch a football game that it blacked out in my area? Basically trying to figure out if the blackout is based on the location of the device or the service location of the account in use.

That sucks. Should using something like unblockme or hotspotshield get around that?
