Watching dl'ed movie in quicktime problem...

I dl an avi and when I try to play it in quicktime pro, an error message pops up that says there are 1 or more files missing needed to play this movie. It brings me to this site: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/resources/components.html

Which one of these do I need?

You likely can't play it with Quicktime. Download VLC. It plays most anything.

VLC is awesome. If you want to play everything with Quicktime, well, it takes a bit of work

Look for the Flip4Mac WMV Quicktime Component, which will play Windows Media, and (what you are referring to) the DivX Quicktime component. Those two will cover most of the movie formats out there. Ignore the stupid DivX Player, as it is crap.

An awesome application - completely fuss-free.
