So I finally could come to america and buy the watch. 38mm steel with white band, beautiful thing. And in time to get it with watch OS 1.0 none the less!

I remember that when 1.0.1 came out some time ago people complained about a lot of issues... so I guess it is safe to stay on 1.0 for the time being? everything seems to be working just fine, but still learning how to operate it.

cheers!

Update it to 2.0. I get much better battery life since I went to 2.0.

Pre-2.0, it would be at about 12% after ~16 hours. With 2.0, it's at about 75% after roughly the same amount of time.

Today, if I got one with any 1.x release on it, I would immediately update it to 2.0.

cant update as 2.0 requires 9.x and no way in hell I am losing my JB on 8.3 so i guess my options are to stay put on 1.0 or go 1.0.1

for the record, i took it off the charger at 7:30am, was poking the thing all day long and it is almost 10pm now @ 49%

You better pick one up sooner rather than later because all newly manufactured AWs will have 2.0. It's not a given that they start with 1.0. They put on whatever is current at the time of production.
