Okay I need to check a few things with you guys. Prior to the uplift of my Ultra to WatchOS 10 I’m darned sure that I used to get haptic notifications coming in when a new email arrived. Since the upgrade I get haptics for other notifications but not email.
My good lady is seeing the same. Are we going nuts? Notifications are fully set on in the mail app?

They are fully enabled. Same setting I have now as on WatchOS 9. They used to work perfectly but now broken with the watchOS 10 uplift.

Just a stupid question:
If you go the the Watch app -> Mail. Is it set to 'Match iPhone' ?

You could also unpair the watch and restore from a back-up?

I’ve tried it set to match and unmatch the phone it makes no difference. The watch was freshly built after the WatchOS install as originally NFC was not working so I unpaired and rebuilt it. My wife has the same issue on her S7 and that wa# a straight upgrade from WatchOS 9.

Yep Apple mail app with an Apple domain email account.

I’ve now turned on the notification sound to see if that makes a difference as I usually have that turned off.

Add the Mail app as a complication on the watch, access mail and then close mail. Turn off/on the watch and phone. Should work for you then. Remove mail complication if you wish.

I've tried this twice this morning and alas it didn't make any difference at all. There wasn't a count of unread emails on the complication either (which I half expected).

I got a shout-out in the Apple Insider Podcast #496 at around 52:21 concerning this problem. It'll be interesting to see if any feedback is received.
In the interim, I've re-paired the watch with the iPhone to see if this resolves the issue.
