I think they removed the Siri watch face. Which kinda makes sense, the widgets when you scroll down and the live activities serve the same purpose.
Sounds great. Live Activities are really made for the Apple Watch.I’m enjoying Live Activities in watchOS 11.
How does it work if you have a run active in the Workout app? Does it run in the background or?Footpath does an excellent job already. Their subscription model is very fair, you can subscribe for one month, 3€ or so.
Was very happy with it.
It has two modes: As a running app where it records all data. Or only routing and a second app (eg Apple Training) does the recording. Always used the latter and it is great. How does it work if you have a run active in the Workout app? Does it run in the background or?
Sounds great - will give it a try. I actually already have the app on my phone for measuring a route once in a while. It has two modes: As a running app where it records all data. Or only routing and a second app (eg Apple Training) does the recording. Always used the latter and it is great.
no integration of maps to workout app has been announced.Navigation and maps is super clunky.
Basically, you can download offline maps to your watch through maps now. But, there is no current integration with the workouts app that I have found yet. They work as two different independent silo'd apps. You can create your own routes and save them in a folder in maps called "Routes". Once you click on them, it goes into the typical Apple Maps navigation experience as if you were walking to a location, any time before. It's fine, but nothing new, and certainly not integrated.
Apple Maps team doesn't seem to be talking to Apple Workouts team.
There is lots of room for improvement at this point.
But, we do have offline maps. So that is a start! Some details are just plain wrong, like elevations of routes, but I am sure those things will be fixed in time.
Sounds pretty good - so the only app missing it will be the native one :-Dno integration of maps to workout app has been announced.
but it will be available in apps that rely on MapKit !
so it will probably be available in YouRace !!
Is this with the Apple ultra only? You now get the water temperature when using the swimming workout and it also shows on the workout summary at the bottom.
These little refinements honestly have me more excited than any new features.
They are a little company with few developers, they have excuses ...Sounds pretty good - so the only app missing it will be the native one :-D
I do have an ultra so maybe. Is this with the Apple ultra only?
Just checked.I do have an ultra so maybe.
It does make sense to a point, but the Siri watchface was suppose to update with relevant information. The widgets are locked in place, and there is no new information added and placed differently. I didn't use the Siri wf because it never really updated like it should, but the idea was great. Have to think Apple AI with new Siri played a big role in this going away. Would not be the least bit surprised if there was a new Siri face with the new watches in September that brings together the new AI stuff.I think they removed the Siri watch face. Which kinda makes sense, the widgets when you scroll down and the live activities serve the same purpose.
I have an Ultra and the battery life sucks. Goes from 100% to 6% in 9hrs which is not how its run on previous beta'sAny feedback on battery implications?
Complications will sometimes disappear on Beta 1 and then reappear after a few seconds. Especially when switching watch faces.Any updates on complications?
For example, has the Rain one gone back to percentage instead of the stupid IN 2D info!
