I asked Siri the same thing about when Rihanna's album would be coming out last week, and it gave me the following day (Still not out). I don't think asking Siri means much.

I am getting 'unable to check for update...' Perhaps something is being prepped? A weekend update would be surprising- but maybe???

I am not sure why Siri is giving an answer like this. I can't imagine Apple communicating the revised release date this way. Must be a mistake or misinterpretation of the question.

I expect no advance notice on the release. When they are done fixing the bug and FULLY testing it, they will release it. Even those in the know at Apple may not yet be certain of the date.

Could Siri be interpreting '2' as some shortened form of 'tomorrow'? If I ask what day is it tomorrow, it formats it exactly like above.

I'm not at all familiar with Dutch, but maybe there's some slang which shortens the word tomorrow?

I think you're onto something here. I'll bet Siri is just hearing something different from what's being asked and she's essentially saying "tomorrow will be September 20"

That must be what's happening.

This will drive some people nuts, as the answer will always be tomorrow's date.

Not officially, but it's all over the developer forums about native watch apps crashing on launch, getting stuck in infinite loops. That's the reason, without a doubt.

I would rather it be delayed and have that type of issue fixed over having the update now and these problems.
