I wanted this for a while. There has been quite a few times when I have wanted to make a quick note when I have been out and about and having the ability to do dictate it on the watch would've been ideal. Good to hear that we are finally getting it.

Time? On the watch?
Messages? On the watch?
Calendar? On the watch?
Weather? On the watch?
What, you don't carry your phone with you? useless.
Time: functional
Messages: let me get my reading glasses
Calendar: ditto
Weather: ditto
Notes: useless. Running out of productive ideas, adding redundancy.

Sometimes no, I do not. You should try it some time; it's glorious.
Oh, I forget my phone all the time! And I regret it sometimes. But am I going to take notes on my watch? Am I going to read them? Can't if I leave my phone at home, can I? I only use my watch for time and exercise/health metrics. And Apple Pay if I remember. but I'm old.

As someone who lives and dies by the Notes app on my iPhone to keep myself organized and sane and keep my wild ideas flowing, I am so excited about this!

You could read notes. This really isn't that deep.

I can barely read ANYTHING on my watch. If I see something important, I get my phone if I'm out, or my laptop if I'm home. Probably should get the bigger watch next time I upgrade!
My vision is noticeably worse as I've gotten older, and the at the end of the day the watch can be hard to read. But usually when I'm in the grocery store or whatever I can see it well enough to check "Chicken" off the list. It is the 46mm size, so that doesn't hurt. Don't take this the wrong way, but there's always glasses.

I'm wearing reading glasses since my cataract implants gave me 20/20 for distance. but I'm old and even reading glasses aren't good enough for close up fine print. I can squint short messages out on the watch (I have the 41mm), but am I going to read a note on it? Nah, I'll pull out the phone.

Of course you can, but you you said it was "useless." You can surely appreciate that it's not useless for the majority of people, even those like myself who do have some near vision trouble. If this is clearly just a you problem, I'm not sure why you're so insistent on dumping on it. 🤷‍♂️

Now this is great

Been times where I’ve wanted my notes app at work without needing to pick up my iPhone
