Taking screen shots on the watch by pressing the crown and side button simultaneously appears to be broken. Can anyone confirm they can still take screenshots in watchOS 3 Beta 1?

Update: New in watchOS 3 Beta 1 is the ability to disable/enable screenshots, which are disabled by default now. To reenable, go to the Watch app on your phone, General, toggle Enable Screenshots

how is everything else running? About to install shortly

To be fair, watchOS 1 and 2 already felt like beta versions, with each release seemingly more stable and functional. That said, it's somewhat too early to tell and I really haven't played with it enough to say for sure. Two issues I've noticed so far is the thread topic, screen shots broken, and my (large) Activity complication says to "set up the Activity app" even though it's already set up. So it certainly seems like there are a few bugs, but daily performance and functioning has yet to be determined.

I believe there's a setting in the Watch app to enable or disable screenshots...check to see if that's on or off.

Very nice, that was the problem. I've always had screenshots enabled, so it appears that watchOS Beta 1 disables screenshots by default.

man I wish I knew I could turn it off all this time haha

Turning it off is new to watchOS 3. I assume it's off now by default because of people having phantom screenshots taken (flexing hand/wrist back/up towards the watch could press both the crown and button below depending on how low on the wrist you wear the watch.) I've personally never had it happen, but I've seen people mention feedback about this fairly often.

LOL oh man it happens to me a few times per week. Im excited about having the ability to disable it.
