just want to make a compliment on this version of watchOS. I am using Apple Watch Sports Series 1. I can see instant response, correct sync with Nike+ Running app and control music on iPhone. Finally Apple delivered what they promised (and what they should have done earlier). Great job Apple!

i agree. i have a series 3 and even on the series 3 the speed boost has been amazing. everything is finally perfectly smooth, it wasn't before despite what the reviews said. the improvements to music management are also great.

Glad you have an experience exceeding your expectation.
The music control is still not good. First things first, why we need a Bluetooth headphone to even browse the album/playlist/genre? Second, why we cannot see the artwork when we want? Third, where is the love feature for music stored in the watch?
Soloed wise, I do not notice a huge difference. I’m using series 3 sports with LTE.

I just tested the workout app real quick, no lag finally. I'll report back tomorrow when I actually use it. It used to freeze for a couple seconds whenever I hit Strength Workout.

I’ll echo the praise. Much faster performance on my S2, and even the wife has noticed a difference with her S1.

When my non-techie/non-nerd wife notices a positive experience with an Apple software release, then it sure as hell is real.

It’s a huge difference in S1.

About the artwork, I always think it will be shown with the new generation of Apple Watch...

No. No way to show it even in series 3. I guess Apple will tout this feature as series 4 exclusive.

It’s like night and day on my S0 Apple Watch. Whereas before it was a frustrating experience to use it for anything other than looking at the watch face itself, now everything feels way smoother and I’m actually finding myself tapping on complications again to get more info when needed.

Very happy and impressed.

Oh. Surprised that s0 is smooth also. I was using s0 before but Apple replaced mine with s1 when I brought it for repair :)

I'm split on 4.3 version. On one hand, I can't skip one song backwards anymore from the "playing now" thingy because the rewind button got replaced by a hamburger icon with the same options in it as in the round button with three dots down at the bottom of the screen. This is just super irritating. (Total first world problem though, and I suspect also a bug, as my iPhone also shows a hamburger icon instead of skip backwards button on the lock screen...)

On the other hand, Workout app appears to not hang anymore when started (would freeze completely for maybe half a minute, then reload with a spinning circle animation for maybe another ten seconds.) Further, battery life on my OG Watch is slightly better than previous 4.x versions, plus I like the new charging animation. And they fixed the difficulty I had with "palming" the watch screen off in nightstand mode.

Well... on my Series 1 it is a lot better but can lag a little now and then, but no buggy, the workout app actually works now!
But...

So far I’ve still only had 1 breathe request from the watch and that was whilst I was at work so couldn’t do it!

They need to fix the breathe app as soon as possible I think. Still an enjoyable device to use.

Ok so an update, I know seem to be getting breathe exercise reminders, don’t appear to be every day but I don’t look at my watch every time it buzzes.
It’s definitely an improvement over the previous OS versions :)

I’m sorry to report the.activity app will go back to its 5-10 sec freezes after about a week. A restart helps for a short while but apple still have lots of work to do

Yeah sadly it does. Didn’t see this thread until now and were pretty surprised to see it. Mine doesn’t feel snappier at all. Nike app is still not usable, slow and terrible and the build in is making the freeze.

Geez I miss the feeling of speed when I got the S2

You are not the only one. wOS 4 has really been a serious bummer for the Apple Watch S1/S2
