WatchOS 4 has the option of an analog or digital custom timer face. I changed my face to digital, but don't remember how to change the face back to analog:

This is the new interface for Custom timers. Hit Cancel and you'll go back to the screen with preset timer lengths. I don't think the older analog Custom option is there anymore -- Force Touch doesn't bring up any options.

Recall that the previous version wouldn't go any longer than 59 minutes, and it wouldn't do seconds, either.

Yeah, didn't have seconds just hours and minutes. But since it was set via a clock face you could go to to a maximum of 60 hours 60 minutes.

Just got on the phone with apple support senior advisor. The new timer digital watchface with 3 scrolling fields is not customizable. Guess I just thought that I had changed it.
