Here are a few quick observations.

Speed-seems very fluid on my S3. Animations look great and overall no major stutters. Through limited playing around nothing has crashed.

Battery- lost 5% wearing it overnight which is typical for my watch. Did a 30 minute run and lost about 20%. Typical.

Workout—added a running metric but it made all of the numbers on the workout screen jumble. A bug but I also think this is indicative of a larger screened watch.

Music—watch says there is no music synced but it shows 450 songs. Took several minutes to stream a playlist over LTE. Odd. Also there is an alert my watch has no more space for music. Weird.

Podcast- it works. I think there are some issues on how to use it as there aren’t instructions but it does work. Outcast has been deleted from my watch.

Weather—more information like wind speed and UV are nice. I have left Carrot because if issues so it’s nice to see a little more robust weather in the stock app

Control Center—customizable is awesome.

For me Workout is totally screwed. I swim in a 25m pool and it says I swam 600 metres and 134 laps but in reality I did 1000 metres which is 40 laps. :) Also Move and Exercise rings are totally off, as well as calorie measurements during swim. Battery life is piss poor and it's overall a very laggy experience. I shouldn't have upgraded. :)

Pretty much exactly the same as you, I can take most things but the battery life.

Anyone know if restarting or resetting S3 will help with battery life?

Battery drain of 20% for a 30 minute workout sure seems bad. I assume that is without the phone and using LTE? When I golf but have my phone with me and pick a workout other, I burn about 12% over two hours. Obviously not the same but it would be nice if you didn’t burn 20% in 30 minutes.

Yes I never work out with the phone so that is with LTE and gps running.

S2. Update fine. Siri face not working -- I get the time/complications, but the main body where cards would appear is all blank. Modular seems to work ok. I tried removing/readding siri. I've not tried a complete reset.

couple of questions...
to update to watchos 5 beta 1, can I still use the existing 4.3 developer profile that is installed on my watch S1?, or do I need a new profile?

i have ios 12 on my iPhone

Thanks for the help!!

Under the last beta and watchOS 5 beta my brightness refuses to go down from max at all. Even if I slide the brightness slider in settings all the way down. I’m starting to think the ambient light sensor might be broken.

What I can say for sure about watchOS 5 is my battery life is terrible. I went from 100% to 80% in about 2 minutes. I might have to re-pair and test again.

Update: Restarted both phone and watch and the battery life is much better. A better test will be when I get to work. Or resume my workout routine tomorrow.

Interesting, mine went from 100 to 96 after 4 1/2 hours of usage. I have no third party watch faces running. Only third party app is WaterMinder.

Going to run shortly so will get a better idea on battery drain after my run.

Worked quite well I thought

It took awhile but did eventually kicked in.
[doublepost=1528219918][/doublepost]One issue with this beta is the workout app detected I was running. When I finished my run I hit end. When I went into the activity app on iPhone, there was no weather nor the map didn’t show up for my outdoor run. The split times did show up.

I ran for 38 minutes and my battery is down to 77%.

Anyone else notice this?

I'm assuming a lot of people aren't developers or they would have read the release notes and seen there are a lot of known issues and it absolutely isn't ready to put on anything except a test device unless you want to have a sad time. But, among many issues about metrics not updating or being counted correctly, it also notes radar 40008565: "The route map for a workout might be unavailable for viewing in the Activity app on iOS."

Does anyone know if there are any settings for the walkie talkie? I'm hoping that I can disable it while I'm at work or during a certain time of day. Otherwise it's going to be tedious to have to enable/disable it every evening and on weekends. Thanks!

• Walkie-Talkie isn't part of this seed of watchOS 5 beta. (40658096)

Oh man that's too bad. I spoke with my wife about this feature and now she finally wants her first Apple Watch so I'm trying to figure out how it all works so we can see if it would be a good fit.

I Think what I’m curious about, is how much battery drain is the walkie-talkie app going to contribute to. Its Great feature and I could see this being utilized especially for those around you, but I’m curious to see others battery results.

Has anyone gotten the sports scores to work on the Siri face?

It actually isn’t too abysmal for a first beta!

I have an iPhone X updated to 12. Trying to install the beta 5 on my series 3 watch. I have removed the previous profile and have installed the new one and it will not update. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

No idea...I'm in exactly the same boat with my Series 2 watch :-(

I've got the WatchOS 5 beta profile on my watch, the watch app on my phone sees the watchOS 5 dev beta update, downloads to watch, says it's verifying, then it starts installing and after a few bars of progress on the circle on my watch, the watch just restarts with watchOS 4.3.1 on it and no successful install of watchOS 5. I'v tried many, many times, including wiping and rebuilding my watch as new. Ugh!!

Anyone else having issue with wi-fi calling on the non-cellular series 3?
I turned back on wi-fi calling in the iPhone and every time I try to turn on w-ifi calling in the watch app, the slider keeps turning itself back off when reopening the settings page. Also, the 'allow calls on' doesn't show the watch.

I am expecting this to be a watchOS 5 issue...just wanted to make sure everyone else was experiencing the same thing.

I had this problem on iPhone when was a bit free memory. Maybe on Watch memory is almost full?
