Any experiences yet? I have a S2 and I’m worried about speed and battery performance if I upgrade from watchOS 5 (which was already a downgrade in performance in my experience).

Would you recommend to update?

It’s a lot faster on my s2. Just upgraded today. It did take all night and worried me this morning as asked for pin then rebooted a lot for 30 mins . Been fine since.

My S2 is faster and better battery life. Very happy with the upgrade. Yes I would recommend.

my S2 on 6.1 is so much faster. Apps load almost instantly. It breathes life back into my watch that just ticked over 3 years of ownership.

can’t comment on battery life too much yet, but I updated 11pm last night (AUS time) and are currently sitting on 79% at 10:15am the next day. I don’t have too many notifications etc during regular use and normally charge every other day.

Hope this helps :)

Awesome! So update it is! Thnx!

After 24 hours my S2 has 40% battery. Since I bought this watch... in my opinion this has been the best update. I think this is going to be the last update that I will install in this watch, I don't want to risk installing another update that will make this watch slower. This is it.

My impression after two days on my S1 - no real change in speed or responsiveness. No improvement in battery life, been wearing my watch from fully charged and it’s now at 30% after 10 hours of light usage.

i had os6 update notification.
i have se1 -that's getting 6.0 not 6.1 as per todays notification.

Edited it is 6.1 since update!
This is very fast including Activities app which had gone very laggy past few months.
SE1 White continues for another year-at least.

Are complications updating slower? It used to be every 15 minutes. Now not so much.
I'm using HeartWatch and Pedometer ++

There is a setting on the Watch app in the Clock settings to enable hourly chimes or bird sounds to be played on the watch, but after turning it on it never works.
Also, the settings say that you can tap the clock with 2 fingers and it will speak the time to you. It doesn't work on a S2.

If these features are not available on the S2 why do they have the setting to turn them on or off?
Any other S1 or S2 users got their chimes to work?

I activated hourly chime on my watch. It speaks the time on the Mickey face. Where is the setting for the two finger press to speak the time?

My S1 is really slow since the update to 6.1. Reminders app is basically unusable which ruins my grocery shopping.

Update: I was able to get the hourly chimes to work. I just turned it on and off a few times and it started working.
The 2 finger touch to speak the time works too but you have to hold 2 fingers on the clock face for four seconds. And don't press too hard or it will recognize a force touch and try to change the watch face.
