A few days ago, I started updating watchOS while I was using my other iPhone's hotspot. Today, I was at an establishment that had Wi-Fi and I connected both my current phone and my Apple Watch to that Wi-Fi, and the "Resume Downloading to Watch..." button was still greyed out. What's it going to take to be able to continue this watchOS update?

Oh I forgot that part. But I thought it was just the watch that had to be on the charger?
Correct, the phone doesn't need to be on the charger. Have you tried to update directly from Settings on the watch itself?

My watch refused to update insisting that it wasn't connected to wifi when it clearly was. Once I put it into low power mode it miraculously worked as if no problem:rolleyes:

Thank you so much! After driving myself crazy rebooting the phone and watch multiple times, rebooting the router and waiting for the next day to try again with no success it just worked your trick
