I bought an iPad Pro 12.9 the day they were released and have had no issues since then until yesterday. Yesterday I had 64oz of water accidently spill
on my iPad pro and water got into the device. The device still powers on and
is functional except for water behind the display. Since I am still under
that initial 1 year warrantee coverage for the iPad pro does anyone know
approximately how much it would be to fix under the warrantee or am I
looking to have to pay the full out of pocket cost.

Warranties do not cover accidental damage, so the warranty has nothing to do with this.

AppleCare+ includes insurance for accidental damage. If you have AppleCare+, the repair will cost you the $49 insurance deductible. If you do not have AppleCare+, you pay the full out of pocket cost.

Since everything is working, you might just be able to open it up and dry it out. iFixit has an instructional video for doing this, and sells a kit with the right tools. You might check out the video to determine whether or not it is something you think you could do without making things worse:
