how much cost fix lcd water damage for iphone 6 ?

thanks ... my iphone 6 drop in water today ,,, need fix ,,, some spot water showing

thanks ....

The back of the lcd needs to be cleaned and the backlight needs to be replaced. Although most third party repair companies won't clean the lcd and replace the backlight they will give you a new screen instead.

Seems like you only have the standard warranty and not the Apple care +. If you had apple care + you'd only pay $79.00 for a replacement.

As others have said, take it to the Genius, have them assess the phone, if only the front panel needs replaced, it will probably cost around $109. IF they find that the water got to other components, then you will be looking at around $299 for a replacement.

More than likely, they will replace the whole unit instead.

Replace it.

When a phone gets wet, one of two things will happen:
1. It fails immediately.
2. It fails shortly down the road.
To be fair, number 2 might not happen for a long time (or ever), with it basically being no different than if the phone didn't get wet. Not to say that's the likely scenario or anything like that, but it doesn't seem to be all that of an unlikely one either.

my iphone normal ,,, nothing wrong

In my experience, it's true. The issue isn't the water, per se. It's getting the internals wet while power is applied to the device. Depending on how it got wet - there's a big difference between being splashed and submerged, for example - the odds are slim that you can get the power off before some internal short circuiting occurs.

You're definitely going to need to do an out of warranty swap.

However, the replacement phone will have a 90 day warranty, so it'll go beyond Sept 18.

Out-of-warranty* cost:
iPhone 6 Plus: $329
iPhone 6: $299
iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5: $269
iPhone 4s: $199
iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, Original iPhone: $149
Plus a $6.95 shipping fee. Fees are in USD and exclude local tax.
*Accidental damage isn’t covered under the Apple One Year Limited Warranty.

Putting it in something before putting it in rice pretty much negates any benefits of putting it in rice.
