Hi, I've seen similar posts to my question, but not exactly what I'm looking for. I have an almost totally dead water damaged iPhone 5s that I was not able to have fixed (I did the rice trick / took it to a repair shop). I have no way of interfacing with the phone. It will only show the apple logo when plugged in, but is not recognized by iTunes. This is all fine; I don't need anything off it because it was backed up.

My problem is that I want to sell it for parts, but I'm concerned that someone who knows more than me could access my data (even though it's dead). Is this something I should be concerned about? Is there anything that can be done to make sure it's clear short of me taking it apart and trashing the board?

Thanks!

You should visit www.icloud.com then remotely erase it. Please remove it from your icloud before you sell it. As long as you have passcode on the screen, your data is safe.

If you want to sell it, i'm interested in.
