About a month ago, some rainwater got into the display of my 2014 MBP, uniformly darkening the display by a nearly unnoticeable smidge. The screen and laptop otherwise function perfectly well, but I do not know if this issue will cause problems down the line a la corrosion, mold, etc. and if I should preemptively bring the computer in for a repair, which would cost $100-500. Any advice?

It depends on where the liquid is currently sitting. Maybe remove the bottom casing and look for corrosion or moisture?

I don't have any pentalobe screwdrivers, but I assume the water sits in the various sheets and films behind the LCD panel, at least from what I can tell here.

If it were my Macbook, I would get the screw driver so I could have a look inside to confirm that there is or isn't any corrosion of the logic boards.
