Same here! Watch is naked (that is a no brainer to me), iPad has a smart cover (I don't really consider that a case), iPod Touch is naked, and my iPhone is naked. I prefer the look and the feel of the devices naked. Experience is improved exponentially, IMHO.
That's very personal though. It's not like I'll urge you to buy a new case - if I can even do that… - but cases add a functionality to the phone: protection. That's why so many of use use a case with their smartphone. Specially if one wants it to last for years.
With that said, I totally agree with you. A device feels so much better with nothing on it. That's why I decided I would put nothing - not even a screen protector - in my MacBook. Only a carrying pouch :D

For sure, to each his own. I'm usually pretty horrified when my device takes its first caseless tumble but after that initial incident, it's just business as usual.
