Wavering Display?

I'm using my MacBook Pro 2011 with a HP w2408 display via Thunderbolt/MiniDisplay. Periodically, I'm getting this weird horizontal wavering, like really bad vertical sync issues. Anyone know how I can fix this? I checked all the connections and I've tried multiple cables (VGA). Thanks.
