way to change date embedded in a picture?

hey guys,
i took some pictures and I used two different cameras and one had the wrong date so in iPhoto, the event's date is screwed up.

anyway to change the metadata in the picture so I can fix it?

Click on "Photos" in the menubar. Then "adjust date and time". Be sure to check the box that asks about updating the file. Then update to your heart's content.

If you want a permanent solution, I'd use 'setexifdata'. Great little program.

iPhoto will change the date, but if you're like me and keep copies of your pictures, well away from the darkest cravices of the iPhoto folder, then your 'archived' photos obviously will stay the same.

i keep all my photos in iPhoto.
so what skybolt said solved my problem..
