Is there a way to do this? (I got an ergonomic Microsoft keyboard.)

Using 10.5.8.

I dont think so. I got a cheap logitech wireless EX100 set and switching back and forth from my MacBook to the windows keyboard got on my nerves that I just bought a bluetooth aluminum keyboard. $40 from craigslist.

Well I figured out how to switch the Windows and Alt keys…(go the Microsoft Keyboard icon in the System Preferences, then Options).

Funny thing is, I actually got this keyboard a while ago and switched the Ctrl and Alt keys from the start, I wanted to switch them back because I just got an HP laptop and I'm getting frustrated with the differing keyboard layouts. (So I know it can be done, and have done it myself, I just can't figure out how I did it [I thought I did it somewhere in the System Preferences but I've been through all the relevant ones and can't figure it out.]).

Easy!

1.Go to system preferences > Keyboard

2.There's a button called "modifier keys" on the lower right corner. Click there.

3.Select the keyboard that you want to change from the drop down list, and set the option and command keys to point to each other.

That's it!

:)
