So iTunes 11.1.2 is updating oddly on the Mac App Updates. It keeps flashing between the amount it has downloaded to calculating, and restarts every 10 minutes.

Mail is continuously downloading mail but no mail is actually downloading. Showing incoming messages, 3 of 3, but nothing is actually incoming.

Mavericks is just generally slow, laggy, and unfinished.

Not happy. Can I go back to 10.8?

Nothing but problem for me too. It's so hot I can't stand to touch it and all my memory is used just doing nothing.

Really frustrating.

I have 3 iMove applications! One of them is the new one, but is still downloading, when NOTHING is downloading: http://gyazo.com/c72653e57e66bc8bacd37a389fe9d052

iTunes works fine for me, just that dam iMove! I'm thinking of deleting all the 3 imovie applications and re-installing the correct iMovie.

This is all so confusing... :/

The amount of problems that come with this OS is awful. Why release something that isn't even close to being usable?

Not happy, Apple.

Try doing a SMC reset and a PRAM reset. It should help fix most of your issues.

Already did the usual quick fixes and nothing. It's almost as if my MacBook Air is too slow to handle the size of files I was regularly working with up to this morning.

If I can't access my files, I can't work. It's just not working slowly, it's not working at all.

You'd think that we would have learned after a couple of OS updates, but no..

I managed to get all three of my machines updated to OS X Mavericks.

The MacBook Air was not happy to be connected to an external display on its first boot into the installer. The screen was not rendering properly so I had no eyes on the progress bar. I did a hard shutdown after unplugging the external display to no avail (plugging it back in didn't help either). After the installer finally did its thing, I found myself on the setup screens as if I were booting up for the very first time. Seemed strange given that it was an upgrade installation over OS X 10.8

The primary MacBook Pro ran into some hiccups as well that would not have gone over well if not for the fact that I had imaged the installer onto a USB drive.

The secondary MacBook Pro ran into no problems whatsoever, but that was a clean install, so I don't count it.

Installed Mavericks on my studio computer, 2012 Mac mini without issue. All my music apps work just fine. No problems.

Did the same on my 2010 iMac. No problems at all.

Lastly, installed Mavericks on my 2011 MBA without issue. Everything works just fine. YMMV of course :)

Had no problems so far. Updating my iLife and iWorks as I speak. The Mail issue can be solved if you just wait a little while, while your mails load up.

Safari feels so much snappier! :D

I noticed one thing so far. Apple update keeps asking me for my Apple id password for every update now. Anyone else?

This only happened to me with the Apple apps... No other apps asked for my password once I typed it in once.

Been running since DP1 and have seen none of these problems.

try a clean install?

edit:
I didn't try gfxcardstatus though. I used to run it before with Lion and Mountain Lion, but IMHO mavericks doesn't really need it as it makes less retarded decisions about enabling the GPU.

get rid of it for now.

Yup I get rid of it... I wonder what happen to the creator of that program. He use to be active, here in the forum.

Just finished my son's MBP. No issues. Took about an hour and a half between the download and the install. Runs great.
