Amazon is on every apple device except the Apple TV. Wonder why that is..... hmmmm????

And you can airplay amazon to your Apple TV. So if Apple just didn't want Apple users to use Amazon, they would block it on the other devices they offer. At this point I don't even care about streaming Amazon. I want a psvue app on the Apple TV. Or at least allow us to airplay it to the Apple TV.

I've been air playing it to the Apple TV for a while now with no issues, it works really well. I stupidly didn't realise for a long time that I didn't have to leave the app open and screen on to do this so I was switching to my PS4 whenever i wanted to watch Amazon Prime Video.

How well Airplay works depends on whether the app you're using breaks up the stream with ads. Try something like More4 or Demand 5. It will fail most of the time when an ad break appears.

Even Amazon, once you've jumped through all the utterly pointless Airplay hoops, is an inferior experience as it lacks 5.1 audio. Stream Amazon on any other TV streaming device and you'll get 5.1 on most content.

The time is arguably already here when built in smart TV apps are all anyone will ever need, plus they do HDR and 4K, which Apple seem to have no interest in at all.

If Smart Tv Apps, were so great, ROKU, Apple TV, etc would not be selling millions of devices, and the number increases every year even though most TVs bought now com with Apps. You know why? because it is bad experience and gets worse as time goes on

Exactly. I tend to choose the airplay methods for services that aren't on Apple TV over the sluggish built in apps on my Samsung Smart TV.
