WD 2TB My Passport External Drive Light

I have a new WD 2TB My Passport external drive. It's working perfectly. I would just like to confirm what the light indications mean. Does a blinking light mean the drive is processing data? Does a solid light mean the drive is connected but idle? Is it the other way around? I searched Google for this information, but all I've found so far are scenarios in which the drive is malfunctioning. Mine works fine. Thanks.

Fast blinking means activity, slow blinking means standby, and solid means idle.
