I ordered a 3TB WD Hard Drive through Amazon.com, in the description it said 'NEW'. It was sealed in a package but when I opened it, it appears the line/seal along the entire outer edge 'middle' is not straight and has been machined? I looked t my currently installed drives and the lines are perfectly straight. Not sure if I need to return this or not? I thought going through Amazon I'd be good to go with the purchase - I ordered it from a company called 'Galagtics'. Has anyone seen this or know what I should do here? Thanks for an and all input/advice.

I ordered through this link - this product.

return it. you paid too much. 4TB drives are around that price, and NAS version (which are more reliable).

Even USB 3.0 HDD's are $120 for 4TB, you can crack open the case and use it as an internal (most of the time this screws up the warranty, but get 2 and RAID 1 them you'll be ok.)
