Just installed a WD Scorpio Black and I noticed a huge improvement in overall speed. I was worried about the noise level but this thing is almost as silent as the OEM 5400rpm it replaces! Sweet!
Sure, its not going to be as fast as an SSD but for less than $100 for 500gb, you can't really complain!

Definitely a good upgrade if you don't have the budget for an SSD. I bought one about a year back and it's been reliable and quiet the whole time.

BPKT, I was worried at first before installing because on the factsheet it specifies a higher acoustics value than the BEKT model but it turned out to be pleasantly silent!

I had one in my Pro for a little while, the drive I got vibrated badly. Ended up going SSD.
