Hi

We are a two iphone household with one Mac (mini). I have two questions:

1) Try as I might, I still cannot understand what Mobileme does. Can anyone explain?

2) With two iphones in our household and one mac mini, is there a compelling reason for us to get a mobileme account? We share calendars and use the iPhones to get our e-mail, txt and ocassionally go on the net.

We do not travel very often.

Would there be any reason for us to consider mobileme?

Thanks,

Jay

MobileMe is just a suite of services offered by Apple namely push-based email, web storage, and syncing.

So if you share a calendar and you update an item in your phone, the same entry will be automatically entered into the other phone on the same account. Also said information will also be updated on the Mac Mini should you choose so. This can also work with email, contacts, bookmarks, dashboard widgets, etc.

As with setting it up, I found this on Google:
