no. apple always did this and will just tell fedex to hold till the 24th. they ship it early so it doesnt come late.

There's a sticker of some sort on all the boxes stating Fedex cant deliver the devices until June 24th. Much like Apple did with the iPad.

Yep, when you buy an iPhone, you agree that two days out of the year, the device's network becomes pretty much unusable due to release of a new iPhone or iPad.

A few lucky people will get it early because out of a million orders, FedEx will screw a few up. Most will get it on the 24th, and a few unlucky people will get it late.

oh god don't start this again we went through this with the 3gs then the day before deliver there was a million post of people stating their tracking order shows a hold on the package. The phone comes out on the 24th that is when you will hopefully be getting it if you are one of the lucky ones.

Not a chance. FedEx WILL hold it until the 24th. All they are making sure of is that the package makes it to your FedEX by the 23rd.

It would make wayyyyyy too much sense to send 1/2 on the 23rd and the rest on the 24th. You definitely want 600,000 phones trying to activate in a 12 hour time frame. Apple is will prepared to handle that level of server load.
