Is anyone able to get weather working as a data source on the Siri watch face on the Apple Watch S3? Not working for me.

I think there is a bug related to how you set privacy/location settings on the weather app. My series 1 had a blank complication with location set to “when using the app”. It reappeared when I set it to “always” but my phone and battery life dropped a lot. The watch would die in 4 hours from full charge. So I turned location off for weather and manually set it to my city and battery life and the complication updates are back.

One caveat though: my series 1 is still on watchOS 3 so that I can keep music controls, while the iPhone is on iOS 11.

My series 2 is on watchOS 4 and the complication seems to work with privacy/location set to “when using the app”. However it is still continuously searching for location and it kills the battery.

Thanks. I thought of the privacy/location setting before posting, but setting that to my home city didn’t work, despite a reboot. But I woke up this morning to find it working. And of course I had to try setting it back to current location to see if it was a fluke, but no such luck. Buggy indeed.

Yep, same issue here. I've done a lot of troubleshooting and nothing will work. Hopefully Apple fixes this quickly. Been driving me insane.

Anyone figured out how to get the weather to display without having to wait until the following day?

I’ve tried everything. Unpair and repair watch, remove all cities and re-add. Manually launch weather app on phone and watch. Nothing will get it to update automatically. And even sometimes it won’t manually update for a few hours.

To clarify, those of you that don’t see weather on the Siri face, are you wanting to see it on the face without scrolling? Or are you not seeing it at all?

I notice that I’ll see a card for an upcoming weather condition change (like if it’s going to rain), otherwise I’ll see the current day’s weather by scrolling back or tomorrow’s weather by scrolling forward.

The weather app is not updating current location. And no matter what you do, you can’t even force it to update your location. Only like once every 5-6 hours will it change to your current location. Not really helpful.

Ahh, that would be annoying. Fortunately I haven’t encountered that issue.
