Am I the only one that can’t add a widget? The app isn’t showing up in the widget list unless I’m missing something blatantly obvious. Phone is a 3rd gen SE.
When this happens to me with a newly installed app, I usually reboot the phone to 'force' a refresh of available widgets. See if that helps?

app looks good but $40 a year in wild. Sticking with Carrot for the foreseeable future

Carrot charges $40 per year as well for similar features. This developer has likely decided he can't afford to give any weather data away for free. I believe Carrot's free version is limited to Apple Weather which (as far as I know) is free. But then there's little point since most of Carrot's benefits over the stock weather app, even with the same weather data, require the subscription.

Might be a good app but paying $40 per year for a weather app is too much.

If pulling weather data is so expensive, then this app's business model is pointless. Sorry, but I've had it with subscriptions, freemium apps and the plethora of cash grabbing games and apps. I get the dev's point, but he should have thought first if users are willing to pay for something which has a lot of free alternatives before spending time to code his app

So yeah, not so much a cash grab as trying to build a sustainable business and not lose any more money on data costs. 😉

Thanks for commenting. I have been looking for a worthy successor to Weather Line for a long time and this looks wonderful. The $40 per year is a tough pill though, especially if there is no family sharing.

I do understand that good weather data that is frequently accessed costs money. I am going to give a Weather Up a shot for a month and then decide whether it is worth the money to me.
