    Hey guys,

We have a client that has a database (MySQL) driven PHP website that contains 20 or so forms and tracking task that they use for the HR. They are wanting to implement iPads that will allow them to do the job on the devices.

The forms are rather simple forms - that tie into a database. Is there any software at there that will aide in the development process. We have found some solutions but not sure what to use.

We aren't looking for a full blown app but just a web app. Any suggestions

How about just loading the PHP website in Safari?

+1, you can set it as an app Icon on your homescreen, so it looks like an app.
Because this isn't something easily implemented in an app, it is certainly possible, but just takes alot of time :)

We have thought about this - one more thing would be would it be possible to create some sort of text box that would allow the end user to sign field with their fingers and the site recognize this?

Off topic: Where in Colorado are you dejo?

Obviously, Dejo is right in the end. It's all already there and working, just use it. Work the HTML into pure data and use CSS for all formatting, and then send different CSS for different devices, one being geared towards iPad's

HTML5 Canvas. Make a sort of "painting" app where all you have a single brush (pencil).

See the following for an idea :
