I am experiencing frustration when using apps that connect to internet. The local free wi-fi provider "Internode" is a web based access system (not a full open system). This is causing me much frustration when I am wanting to use apps that update on the go. So I end up switching off Wi-Fi whilst on the move and rely on good old 3G.

Does any one know what I need to do to fix this assuming I have not set up phone correctly or is because of the free ISP provider?

Do you have any other free WiFi providers within driving distance? Most McDonalds offer free WiFi. If so, it should be fairly simple to determine where the problem is.

All free Wi-fi in Adelaide is Internode. If there are any others then they are private AP from whom ever ISP they are connected to.
